maintain boundaries

This is admittedly the hard part, but thanks!

Ah I see, thanks for the extra context!

sshd_config is server side, ssh_config is client side AFAIK

Your config looks pretty tame. Anything interesting in /etc/ssh/config.d/ ?

Spinelli

Is this really the fate you want for a beloved character from your childhood?

TJ

I take it he wasn't your favourite character growing up

that's a (major) background worry that could be applied to anyone. I'm asking specifically about the recess characters

In this case, all they need to assert is that “some content and ads you see may not be as relevant to you” is true irrespective of whether trackers are disabled, which is almost certainly what they meant.

Ah I see. Thanks for the detailed writeup

I thought it was some kind of written guarantee that the banks would only invest/divest the money over the 100k threshold, where if the bank collapses there'd still be the fallback of the money it didn't invest, and as I'm typing this I instantly know it's not true and that banks play it all fast and loose and hope that no one finds out...

I see your point.

I didn't understand your second sentence, can you clarify that a bit?

I have an addictive personality with little impulse control (e.g. caffeine, sugar, TV, games).

I don't do things in moderation. I know that smoking would kill me if I started, and as a dopamine chaser, I know that any drug that immediately makes me feel good will be a crutch that I will use for the rest of my life.

No thank you sir.

"Japanese chivalry" existed in many forms, many of which were not chivalrous (e.g. it was totally okay for a samurai to strike down someone of a lower class, and to keep heads of their victims as trophies).

The bushido culture that seems pervasive today in their society was derived as part of a nationalist movement in Japan at the time:

Bushido was used as a propaganda tool by the government and military, who doctored it to suit their needs. The original Imperial Rescript to Soldiers and Sailors of 1882 uses the word hōkoku (報国), signifying the idea of indebtedness to one's nation because of one's birth. Such debt must be repaid through physical or mental exertion. This idea did not exist in earlier bushido.

Many people would lose their savings.

In Germany, everyone is protected up to 100,000 €. So it would actually be a nice reset button where only the rich would "suffer"
