I really miss the mid 90's / early 2k chats and forums. I still occasionally use irc. Back when the most personal info anyone could be reasonably asked for was "asl?"

They've turned us into the product and consumer. A snake ever hungry, eating it's own tail.

Why would you want to have it always on?

Right tool for the job. I was once a a nix fanboy in the beginning. Now, I don't really care. If I legitimately think it suits a particular issue or use-case I'll suggest it. But I also work for an MSP that, well, focuses on a lot of Microsoft services.

There are just things each environment has pros and cons for.

IDKY you're getting down votes. It's true. Nothing they've done for a while now is worth the time or money.

IDK about it being from ai. But I've seen the kids face before, infact I run across it every once in a while. This looks more photoshopped than ai. Body of an adult, but the face is from a real kid.

I've not used anything other than pihole (and browser adblocks), so I can't speak on them. But pihole seems to do well for me. Granted I do have a bigger Blocklist than what ships. ~1.6 million domains. Some custom to my environment. Also using Wireguard so the blocking happens on smartphones while not at home.

This is one of the few ai images I've seen in a while that made me say "woa"

It doesn't have to be done that way. From my understanding, fedora does it that way as a safety environment or something (could be wrong). But you can absolutely just do a dnf upgrade and keep on going. It's the software center that invokes that reboot to install the updates.

Maybe they mean lacking wheel groups? Or not knowing how to invoke sudo with a specific user?

Don't sleep on fedora either. Combined with flatpak, you'll have a more up to date system.

I wonder if MS is more interested in the Activision side. MW/King etc. I think blizzard is just a baggage addon at this point.
