And to a point I agree. But the way the story reads, it sounds like not much was done with the new machines after installation. We've all had money taken from faulty vending machines. But the stakes are slightly higher in this.

Just one little addition: win+shift+s for snipping tool. Let's you select a region, window or whole screen.

Isn't a machine taking your money and not receiving anything from it isn't?

Dang. Really hope this gets sorted soonish. In the market for something new and planned on going GOS or lineage.

I can't think of a time I've seen an ad and thought, ya that's exactly what I need in my life.

If it's just one or two rooms ya need wired up, but don't wanna run the copper? There are options. If you have any old coax drops in them there's adapters you can attach and just reuse the old coax. OR you could look into a power line adapter. Basically it uses the house electrical lines (in the wall) to create a connection.

Install windows on a second/spare drive. Boot PC from this and run their tool.

I know you're trying to find a way around not using windows, but if the vendors only solution involves it, I wouldn't trust any hacky workarounds when it comes to bios updates.

If anything, this brings more light on supply chains being the more popular way for attacks. XZ, of course being THE recent example.

On prem AD. At least for my MSP's clients. Have been pushing hard last few years to migrate to azure.

THIS /\ /\ /\

I will say that 99% of the time I prefer coffee in the morning. It's not even the caffeine, but the aroma and flavor. Coffee has just an overwhelming flavor, like it just grabs your mouth and puts it in a headlock.

Tea is my preferred midday or night drink. A more mellow taste, and can be very different.

Pff, past jobs I've been at, you got written up for not doing the stupid thing(policy related, nothing that would put you in actual danger).
