Okay, I restarted Lemmy and it seem to have caught up with the federation. Im not sure why, but federation to lemmy.world was stuck. I'll keep monitoring the situation, but for now it seems like it's resolved.

This was exactly what I wanted to post... 😅

Yeah... Which customs? I can just step in a car and drive trough multiple countries without ever needing to show my passport.

Same here, but then on Android. The 2FAS app works quite good.

I don't know about foreign cards, but even with a card of a Dutch bank I couldn't get €400 from an ATM, €250 was the max, really annoying.

And I couldn't find any info about the why and where, it's so weird.

Today I've updated feddit.nl to lemmy v0.19.7 (from v0.19.5).

For all the changes check out the original announcement for v0.19.6 and v0.19.7. There you can find more details about this release.

Thank you for your continued support, and enjoy the new features!

What do you need to pass trough? I've done usb passthrough in the past with docker as well

I'm running a normal linux distro, with everything running in containers using docker compose files. No VMs, since they are overkill for my needs. I'm running stuff like the *arr stack, home assistant, smokeping, unifi controller, pihole etc. Setting it up is quite simple, and the distro can be whatever you prefer (I use Arch btw).

Yust buy a SAS controller (with cables), they are used pretty cheap.

Why do you still want to extract the encrypted data? Do you still have the encryption key somehow? Else even if you desolder the storage, manage to dump the raw bits, you won't be able to get anything useful from it.

At the moment I'm working on getting Lego Harry Potter years 5-8 to 100% on the Switch. I've finished year 1-4, so now the rest.

Small issue; my left controller is getting the drift issue, so I'm sending that off to repair, quite annoying.

Update: done with HP! screenshot of lego harry potter at 100%

Today I've migrated my data from my old zfs pool to a new bigger one, the rsync of 13.5TiB took roughly 18 hours. It's slow spinning disks storage so that's fine.

The second and third runs of the same rsync took like 5 seconds, blazing fast.

As you might have noticed, feddit.nl is upgraded to lemmy v0.19.4.

The upgrade was a big one, it took almost a full hour.

For all the changes that see the original announcement, there you can find more details about this release.

As some of you already have noticed, feddit.nl is upgraded to lemmy v0.19.0. There are a lot of changes that are note immediately visible.

The most anticipated one (based on the requests I've received) is the ability for users to block instances for themselves.

In the original announcement you can find more details about this release.

❗ Notes: ❗

  • Some users seem to have issues with random errors showing up, clearing cookies/data seem to resolve this issue.
  • Sync doesn't seem to work with 0.19.0
  • 2FA is cleared for everyone. This is done automatically during the upgrade, because of the newly implemented 2FA flow.

Update: I have just updated Lemmy to 0.19.1 which should resolve the stutters in federation.

Based on some feedback we received, I've added Photon as a possible front-end for feddit.nl.

You can find it by browsing to ph.feddit.nl.

Enjoy!

To expand diskspace on the server it needs a reboot. This will cause several minutes of downtime.
