Oh, no I'm not that fancy, those are just onions! (I had to look up what enoki was just now)

Ingredients was something like:

bone broth Chanterelles onions sprouts noodles egg

there may have been other stuff but I really can't remember, that was two summers ago on a whim :)

Maybe some 'authentic' ramen next?

Yours looks delicious btw!

Friendly? Lol

Not really what you asked for, but there's a content creator I follow called Animalogic that is generally pretty upbeat and kid friendly I'd say. I can't say they've ever said humans suck, but chances are good that they probably have because that just comes with the territory I think.

Lol, he basically said 'we indoctrinate them first and then they'll purchase our more expensive system eventually'

I mean, I noticed so many references and what felt like blantant rip offs of classic scenes. I still enjoyed the movie but the constant copying started to get distracting.

Are there any good open source star gazing apps out there?

It's super cool and all, but also kind of ominous? I feel like something more inviting might be a better fit.

Tagging along from one of the previous posts about people's jobs, what are your favorite things about your job. If you can't think of anything, then what are your least favorite things about it or what do you think you'd like to do instead if you could?

My favorite thing is the appreciation we get from passerby. I've never had a job where people are genuinely appreciative of what we are doing, and it's nice to get that feedback from people even though the work itself can be pretty difficult. If there wasn't that for my job, it would certainly be less rewarding.

My dog loves to go mountainbiking with me. This doesn't really work with a leash (obviously), so a training collar comes in very handy on the off chance he sees a squirrel or something and wants to chase (Otherwise he's very well behaved).

My issue is that the remote is not very easily/quickly accessible when I have it in my pocket. What I need is either, a training collar with a more 'handsfree' type of remote, or a different mounting solution for my current remote.

Current ideas include:

-wrist mount (like a watch or something maybe)

-arm mount

-chest mount/strap mount?

-handlebar mount

-belt mount

Let me know if you have any ideas, or if you know of an out-of-the-box solution that's not going to cost an arm and a leg. I don't need a super high end training collar, because his behavior isn't that high maintenance and also I can't really afford it either.

I'm wondering if you have any favorite fediverse resources for dog owners? Breed questions, training techniques, product recommendations, etc.

I think that would make a great community if there isn't one already. I've only run across #dogsofmastodon so far, but that is really more for just pictures I think.

Is there a way to use scrcpy without requiring my phone screen to actually be on?

It's been difficult to broach the subject and explain the technical concepts to the average person. I did have some success in first sharing the email comparison, which lead into interoperability.

I'm just curious to hear people's success stories, if you have any.

I'm using TetherFi to share my phone's internet connection. I understand how to setup the proxy settings in the browser on my laptop to get it working, and I've also been able to get Freetube working by changing the proxy settings within the app.

What I am wanting to know is if there is a way to set up a system wide proxy setting so that other applications on my laptop will work without having to go into each app individually. The desktop versions of my messaging app, steam, and the app store are all inaccessible to me currently and it would be nice to be able to get these working automatically through the proxy if possible?

I'm on Pop_os.

Avenza seems to be the go-to app. It works pretty well and all, but I'm wanting to know if there's any software available that can allow a team of people to simultaneously access and make edits/notes to a geo-referenced map. It also need to have kind of the same base functionality of being able to show your current location and all that. Ideally it should be designed for mobile first, but being able to access it from desktop too would be a plus.

So, just for one example, I could add a placemarker on the map, and any of my team members who are also accessing that map will be able to see (in real time) the placemarker that I just made. Does this type of feature exist?

Any recommendations? Are any of them usb-c rechargeable? Seems like most of the ones I'm seeing take AAA batteries.
