What are players who don’t like UB supposed to do when there are no Magic versions of those cards?

If you're just playing with your friends you can just decide to not use them or make custom proxy versions for the cards you really want to play with. Or you can just play limited, either with a set that doesn't have any UB cards or with your own cube.

Otherwise I guess you can either learn to live with them or just stop playing. For me it's mostly the latter. Universes Beyond, along with absolutely insane power creep especially in Modern and an overwhelming flood of increasingly expensive products have really taken the fun out of the game for me.

I've found some and it sucks if the one game that doesn't work well is one you play a lot. For me it's Trackmania. It works some of the time but often breaks. It seems like the issue isn't with the game itself but with Ubisoft Connect, which is pretty shit even on Windows. Very annoying.

If it stopped abruptly it would probably be hard to stay on the surface (and alive). But eventually you’d come down again.

Getting off would actually become more difficult if it stopped spinning.

Don't listen to the people saying you should just quit. Talk to people first, especially the DM. Tell them about what kind of game you'd like to play. This is something that groups should generally do before they start a campaign (in what some people call session 0), especially if they've never played together. It's possible that the DM isn't consciously designing the sessions like this and is willing to change it up. Maybe they're even happy to get some feedback and the other players might also enjoy some more roleplay. Maybe the DM can't see themselves running a game like that, but another player would love to.

If it becomes clear that the kind of game they want to play and the kind of game you want to play are incompatible, then it’s perfectly fine to say “this isn’t for me” and stop playing with them.

I rarely check people’s bookshelves but my experience has also been that people either don’t even know what it’s really about or they absolutely love it.

But I guess it’s possible that some people buy it after reading LotR expecting more of the same and then give up after reading the first few pages of the Ainulindalë.

For a few seconds I was extremely confused why one would need a tool like this for the game Celeste.

Technically it’s an alphabet, not a language (excluding the keys with actual words on them and not just letters). The letters are called Tengwar and in the lore they’re Elvish letters, but you can use them to write in other languages like English. Even in universe they’re used for other languages like on the inscription of the One Ring, which is in Black Speech.

I just sleep on the Blåhaj side.

I thought the same thing but it sucks because I really want a new F-Zero but I can’t see myself playing this a lot. It’s fun for a little bit but just too chaotic for me.

The reason why American cities are low density is because they were built for cars. Or destroyed for cars. But American car-dependent suburbia is not financially sustainable. Car infrastructure isn't just absolutely miserable, it's also extremely inefficient in terms of both cost and space. Self-driving cars or electric cars won't solve this. America needs to learn how to build cities properly again.
