I’ve had friends come up to me, offer me a handful of baked snack crackers, and ask if I’ve accepted cheez-its into my life.

Reminds me of playing Sim City way back in the day

Steven Segal

At least she’s experimenting with tar and not black tar heroin.

Although now I wonder if TNG-era medical technology could cure a strong opiate addiction…

Impressive indeed to find yourself in a pickle and not get tagged out!

And yeah it’s weird that the starting pitcher for the losing team got a top performer slot when he didn’t even finish 5 innings.

I’m looking at the box score, and he went 2 for 3 plus a walk, an RBI, scored, and was part of a double play. All in all a pretty good day.

Was there something he did spectacularly well that wasn’t captured in the box score?

Back when I still worked in IT, I got asked by a new inexperienced support person to come to a different building (complete opposite side of campus) and help him out because he was having trouble repunching a data drop in somebody’s office. The guy was fairly new, and I wanted to procrastinate on the project I had at my desk, so I didn’t mind going to help him out.

I hop in the golf cart, drive several minutes, park, walk to the office where he was, and ask him to step aside so I can demonstrate while he watches. The data drop had a big desk in front of it that couldn’t be easily moved.

By the time I get into position to demonstrate, I look up and see he’s nowhere in sight. I go looking around, and he’s in an office a few doors down engaged in a bullshitting session with another employee.

I tell myself “fuck this i’m not his lackey” grab my stuff and leave without saying anything

Oh no! Anyway…

That’s not a man cave, that’s a jack shack.

I enjoyed this show, which feels odd because I’ve never been on a cruise.

I also enjoyed watching the Below Decks shows before we got rid of satellite.

Sure, it wasn’t premium prestige tv like The Wire or Breaking Bad or Mad Men, but tv shows shouldn’t have to all be lauded as high art to exist.
