Combat feels clunky and slow until you've got some levels and abilities. I don't usually uae consumables a lot in games because I don't want my playstyle to be hampered by not having a potion on me, so I leaned heavily into the magic and it really made a world of difference for me.

That short list brings me much shame.

Nope, looked it up. Similar though.

Looks like a euro burger on a US bun.

I came back to this when I had the time just now because I realized that after the fact.

Thank you for helping them.

I really liked the movie Commas.

I got reprimanded by my director with my boss present. I talked to HR which also discouraged me from discussing it. The NLRB person I spoke to when I called basically said that I had a case but good luck filing and winning in court versus a large corporation in the US.

At least my ethics complaint about the director and HR rep both violating federal law and company policy was investigated. No idea what was done with it, but they told me it was investigated.

Tunic was such a fun adventure.

  • Shadow Labyrinth: A metroidvania set in a very dark timeline for Pac-Man. As a metroidvania it is solid. The traversal and exploration are on par for the genre. The sections where you transform into Pac-Man are a cool new take as a variation of Metroid's classic ball. The maze levels which most resemble the Pac-Man we're all familiar with provide quite a challenge. Overall I would put this on the shelf next to some of my other favorite metroidvanias including, but not limited to, Hollow Knight, Sundered, and the Ori games.

  • Tales from the Shire: A cozy sim of living in a Hobbit village. I'm sorry, not-village, as that is the goal of the game: to make your small town an official village. I find the pathfinding mechanics in this game adorable and liken them to the wind in Ghost of Tsushima which acted as your objective guide. In Tales from the Shire you follow little blue birds that perch on nearby trees, rocks, and signposts. Speaking of which, when they're on a signpost they actually sit on the board pointing in the direction you need to go.

  • Primal Planet: Another metroidvania, this one is a primitive setting where you're a caveman living with your village when it is attacked. You then track down your missing villagers and rebuild the village while levelling up, gaining new crafting recipes, etc. Nothing groundbreaking in here, but it is still a good pixelated entry in the genre with a nice art style and animation. This game does do a really good job of letting you know when you're under-levelled for an area...brutally so.

My big boi rolls on his back like a sea otter for belly scratches.

You're right. The link below is not the only place I've seen the quote cited, just the first I found in a hurry.

The host asked Thiel ‘You would prefer the human race to endure, right?’

Thiel hesitated, doing some umm-ing and ahh-ing, even at one point saying ‘I don’t know’.

The billionaire went on to clarify and said: “Yes [I would like us to endure] but I also would like us to radically solve these problems.

I made the leap and ditched Windows and made the switch. I'm not married to Pop! OS, it just happened to be the first distro I tried and has been mostly a breeze setting up and getting used to but I do have a couple issues I wasn't able to resolve this weekend. Hoping someone else has seen similar.

  • Cannot add library in Steam: this is likely due to me misconfiguring the drive, mount, or fstab. When I try to add a drive in Steam it allows me to browse the drive and select a folder but then nothing is actually added to Steam. The drive was newly formatted with 2 partitions, both ext4. Unfortunately I am at work and cannot get blkid, df, fdisk, fstab, etc. but my hope was someone had found a better guide than the ones I have tried thus far.

  • Helldivers 2 audio issue: crackling and audio cutting out.; from what I've read it sounds like a throughput issue with the sound server (POP OS default is pulse audio). I came across a couple guides for troubleshooting audio issues with HD2 in Linux that sought to address this with pulse audio and others for pipewire but none of those ended up being helpful. Again, the hope is someone here has had a similar experience and can share what helped them or get me pointed in a good direction for troubleshooting.

I was going to buy a clown loach but the local store's delivery was delayed.

Edit to add: I forgot that I bought some bib coveralls on my way home.

Has anyone else had issue with nigh invincible harvesters marauding through all manner of bombardment? Shield down, I've seen them take every orbital and eagle without being destroyed. Not all at once, mind, but I have seen them take more than a factory strider and walk it off without even losing a shield antennae.

I've bullseyed one with a RR rocket and a full commando and they kept coming.

Any tips? I know the legs are a weakpoint but I don't seem to be hitting the right places. Laser cannon is the only reliable weapon I've found but requires multiple cooldown periods to fully cook one which is just too much time.

Recently planted this aquarium with stems and mosses. This long thin green moss-like plant showed up and I like the look of it. Hoping ot is something I can cultivate and use for a hanging vine effect on my driftwood and not a pest plant. Any help is appreciated.
