100% Vanilla world, no extra tools or mods

Mostly, I like my Ducky One 2 with AlohaKB Trailblazer keycaps and MX Blue enough that I haven't really found a reason to get a new setup.

I might get a barebone Duky One 3 though to try different switches

Minecraft, holy shit, I have a singleplayer, creative world that I spent hours every day building on for 8 years or so.

That map is gigantic, and I even saved it from a hard disk crash

I really can't wait untill this AI chatbot shit dies.

Works fine from lemmy.zip

Most people here are cremated, I also remember the urn my grandfather was buried in was biodegradable so after 25 years there is nothing really left.

I don't know if everything is broken into 25 years, or so, that is just what I read on the Chruch of Sweden's website.

The Seat Cupra forums are still active, and seems to be a great place for help with your car.

I remember reading an analysis before the inauguration that it was expected to take 40 years to reverse all of the policies that Trump told people at the time he would implement, and now, I shudder to think how long it will take to reverse the current dammage

Eh, here in Sweden it is normal to reuse grave sites, you normally get a grave site for 25 years, but it can be extended.

The relatives of the person buried can extend the time that the gravesite is yours, but it costs money.

Sooner or later the gravesite is returned to the church to be reused.

I am a hobby photographer, I don't really do much editing of my photos, so I can't really advice you there.

As for the picture itself, it has fantastic colours, but it is a bit dark, though I don't know the actual lighting conditions.

Man here, there have been several times when I have found a thread talking about men and shitting all over all men and painting with broad strokes, claiming that we are all awful and just looking to use women.

I feel offended at indirectly being included in a group like that, and have joined in discussions in the past to try and explain that we are not all terrible people.

Over time however, I have learned to ignore the hate spewers and just move on.

Personally, if I see a community where the rules are politely explaining the situation, I just block the community out of respect for the xommunity.

We are looking at upgrading our network equipment from old HP switches and Aruba access points, we have a Fortinet firewall that we are happy with, so we'll probably keep using them there, but for the rest we are looking for new stuff.

And we are looking closely at Ubiquiti for switches and APs, but two things have appeared on our radar.

Ubiquiti does have a cloud admin UI, this means that Ubiquiti needs to have access to our network controller to access this feature.

But what if we don't use that, will Ubiquiti still be able to access the network controller?

I guess that what I am asking is how does the access control work?

Also, updates, I see that they seem to be very frequent and also see some scattered reports that they have required admins to reset their configs and loosing camera footage, can you set updates to be delayed for X days?

I have posted about these bottles before, they are designated to be toasted when the world is freed from the respective person.

The ribbons are printed on a labelmaker in the P-touch series from Brother, and have the following names:

  • Trump
  • Putin
  • Orban
  • Musk

In these shit times this is my little protest against terrible people.

While I didn't get any comments on my earlier post, I did get enough upvotes to consider that there was some interest in this.

So, I will arrange a Discord thing for this and hopefully we can have some fun.

Here are my plans:

I'll make a new post about this sometime around 1800-1900 CEST here, it will include directions to the Discord thing.

Now, active players will be limited due to the nature of the game, I believe that only 6-8 people can be on the same game and have a good time, this can absolutely change, but slots for players will never the less be limited, that is just how the game works.

The goal of the event is to have fun, not to absolutely devastate other human players, if you are an RTS god with a 3000APM, this is not really ment for you, you are welcome to join, but please give everyone a chance.

The event is open to men and women, while some light trash talking is to be expected, I will expect everyone to refrain from abuse, general rule is that if someone tells you to stop you respect that and stop.

The event will be held in english.

Those are the ground rules, apart from that the event will have a very loose structure, we'll talk, find a server, join it, and try different game types.

If you want to participate, read this!

You need the latest version of OpenRA, it can be downloaded for Windows, Mac and Linux from https://openra.net/

Warning!

  1. As always with software downloaded from a random site on the internet, scan the file with your antivirus software before running it!
  2. The Windows installer is a bit weird, it might show up clean on a scan, yet still be flagged by the antivirus when run, this is something I have seen in both Defender and F-Secure with several versions of the installer, so far it has worked fine after installing it, but keep an eye on it, and remember that it is your own responsibility to scan and evaluate downloaded programs before running them.
  3. If you want to use a packet manager to install the game, make sure that it is the correct version.

Once you get the game running, do some practice matches to get a hang of the UI and controls.

Earlier today, I saw the post about cow eggs, and just realized that most people don't know that tractors also hatches from eggs, you see these every summer on farmers fields but most people don't realize that this is an integral part of the lifecycle of a tractor.

Tractors lay a lot of eggs in captivity, but few survive to hatch a new tractor, most tractors you see come from the wild tractor populations around the world, this is also why no one has ever been able to take a photo of a tractor hatching from is soft shell.

Current summer tires are getting worn, tread is at 2,5mm, legal limit is 1,3mm, minor dry cracks noticed, yeah, tires are getting old and will be replaced ahead of the summer season next year.

I have had a bast playing the old Command & Conquer games with my friends every now and again, and thought to see if there would be interest among others.

BRIEFING:

What is OpenRA?

OpenRA is an open source port of the classic Westwood games; Command & Conquer Tiberian Dawn, Command & Conquer Red Alert and Dune 2000, they are all RTS games, quite simple and fun to play.

Does it cost money?

No, you can donate to the project, but OpenRA is completely free, and can be downloaded at openra.net

What is an RTS game?

How does the game work:

You command your military forces to crush the opposition, you build bases, gather resources and produce combat units to accomplish the crushing.

What game modes are there?

You can fight against each other or you can fight together against one or more computer players.

Ok, this sounds interesting, what is the general idea?

I prefer coop against a strong alliance of Computer players, it is slower and allows people to assist eachother, I am up for either to be honest.

We would be on voice chat, either through discord or another system.

What is the skills required?

I play for fun, not hyper competition, I rather have fun loosing chaotically, than be hyper focused on winning, that being said you should play the first 5-6 maps in the respective game to get a feel for the game.

So, what do yo think, would this be fun?
