This is the most common knee-jerk response that I get from pedestrians. But. Using proprietary hardware in a relatively straightforward manner that allows you to run dedicated software to customize/handle the gear is why windows is better...

set up and left alone as a server is not the same thing as a person using it for discrete tasks. where on earth did you get such an idea? you think that just because my files are stored on a linux box somewhere that I'm a linux user? frankly it doesn't sound like you're in the industry...

the word "Support" includes already-answered questions readily available on the internet, eg. stack overflow. There are no unanswered questions about using/developing with windows

I've been in the industry for 10 years and have worked almost exclusively with windows (backend) and iOS (frontend) users

Mozart died broke in 1850. He was a genius, the greatest musician who ever lived. No one learned how brilliant he was until people studied his work for centuries. Now we realize that his contributions weren't just pleasing, acceptable, they were profound. They weren't constrained by the rigid laws of classical music, they filled them. He took strict rules and made them beautiful. He was a master of his craft.
