i'm really sorry that happened. i was once attacked by my partner in my home. cops showed up after he left. i'm in agreement that the current system is really bad.

right now if someone breaks into your mom's house, all the police do is file a report. your family will have already been hurt by the time they get there. they are not protecting us.

we have a for-profit prison system and autonomous police agencies that are immune to law. the vacuum is currently filled by enterprise. your worst case has already happened.
