The correct middle ground is to live and let live. We should recognize the legal code of the land that gives them the right to lgbtqia2+ stuff, and we should be kind, civil, and respectful when engaging with them.
At the same time, we shouldn't consider ourselves an "ally" to those actions. Likewise I doubt a secular humanist would consider themselves an "ally" to an Islamic convention.
