It made him look so gosh dang relatable.

No, that's not the word I'm looking for. Unlikeable. That's the one.

If the other person is arguing in good faith, I'll listen and exchange views until that becomes pointless. If the other person is loaded with an opinion and won't listen to anything different, I basically shut down and leave them hanging.

I find songs in the target language that I like, and plough them into my brain. Also, I tried interacting with other learners and/or native speakers on Lemmy, but there doesn't seem to be any interest. So basically I just plug away with duolingo and duome.

Looks like he'll be bringing all the good vibes.

On a serious note, I hope Gabon can emerge from the chaos and thrive.

Base 8? I think Tom Lehrer wrote a song about it.

Teşekkür ederim! ("thank you!" in Turkish).

Yeah I've been making more progress on my duolingo course too.

Yeah definitely. That's what I was saying about spreading my net wider here. I try communities of topics that I'm not necessarily interested in, but could be. Being a bit more open minded giving new things a chance.

I get what you mean. But I just spread my net wider. Give more communities a chance, and unsubscribe from the ones that aren't what I'm looking for. It's frustrating, but it will improve. And it's better than dealing with reddit.
