Let's stop giving NewsWeek any traffic and instead link to Silver's approval tracker and article . There's much more analysis here than the rag linked above.
Me too! I got her after the bank I was working at got robbed. I had just moved out on my own and the house was way too quiet. I've had her for almost three years now and I'm convinced adopting her was the best decision I've made in that time period 💜
Callie the calico kitty :)
It does do that. I was thinning a little on top before I started and now I've got luscious locks!
Also, a question:
What platform should we be making the playlists on? Spotify might be the obvious choice, and that's the platform I use, but some would object because of the various controversies the company has seen in recent years.
YouTube is another good option. They've got the largest song library of all the major companies in the streaming game.
I don't have either Tidal or Apple, so I can't speak to either of those.
Potentially, we could make playlists for all of them (or even just YouTube/Spotify), but it would require a little more work.
Yes! I'm thinking the community might start voting on a monthly playlist theme? It could be a cool way for everyone to share their favorite songs or branch out beyond their usual taste.
Sorry! Still getting used to the Threadiverse. I'll be sure to remember to do it in the future, thank you.
You should totally join us! Tomorrow we'll be making a beginner playlist to introduce newcomers to the genre. We would love more input :)
I've unironically heard that argument from people I know. Texas is a garbage state >:(
Very exciting. I really adore the scene and love sharing new music with everyone, so feel free to reach out for recommendations :)
I started off with The Taxpayers and Days N Daze, but if you like more mellow stuff, Pigeon Pit, Mal Blum, or Nana Grizol might be down your alley.
Happy listening!
You have no idea how much I've played Rogue Taxidermy over the years. Seriously considering having one of their songs as the SotD this week 💜
No, most of these would be considered Celtic folk/Celtic rock, which is different but adjacent. You might enjoy the Dropkick Murphys :)
Thanks for introducing me to Elvenking!
