This is one of my favorite videos on the Internet (contains the preparation of meat products):

The amount of time I spend with this community correlates with how different from other places online I perceive it to be. It's waxed and waned over the last 6 or so years, but lately I feel like I'm biding my time until someone enthusiastically different (better) than the rest of the Internet comes along

This already happened with the nuclear deals made in the 90s/00s where they took the agreed upon steps in good faith, but the US shafted them. Why bother?

  • The 747 is a much older and well established design. The 737-8/9 is a new design that has had repeated issues that can be tied to Boeing putting profit ahead of safety.

  • Boeing does not manufacture the engines, not that it fully absolves them of issues that occur

  • because engines have moving parts, they are complicated to maintain and keep running in all conditions, as far as I know this could be a bird strike which is not damning to Boeing

  • this incident is far less catastrophic than what has been happening with the 737-8/9s, a tense situation, but within the realm of expectations and a qualified pilot shouldn't have an issue bringing it in

Certainly bad timing for them, but I'm reserving judgement on that one till the investigation is done. The situation there is probably distinct from what is going on with the 737-8/9.

They do have warming centers but since people can't bring their stuff in, as soon as it hits 35F they shut it down and hopefully everyone found storage or something like there days ago before they first got there

The US is responding to prospective peace talks by forcing the ROK not to engage in them.

I think it's great that he's anti charismatic so he can just anchor his niche in the English speaking left pipeline. Hopefully he influences someone in his audience to dumb it down a bit for a wider audience. He doesn't need that distraction
