This is a big reason why we left the country. I make a comfortable but not extravagant living as a freelancer, but sinking $1000+ a month just into insurance for my family? (To say nothing of costs and copays while actually using the insurance!) Just doesn’t make any financial sense. Had we stayed in the states one of us would need to work for the man just to have a reasonable health care plan.
The cost savings on that alone pays my whole mortgage here in the EU.

Yes, but actually no. Apple loves to create their own new thing regardless of existing standards, so I don’t see why they would ever integrate this when AirPlay exists. That’s why forcing them to open up their proprietary protocols is so important. Since they won’t adopt open standards, it would at least mean others could implement Apple’s.

Not sure why he’s downvoted. None of us want it, but he’s right, if Trump is as stupid as we think and actually pulls Ukraine funding, they may have no choice but to negotiate. That would be a bad outcome, but a likely outcome if the US, UK or EU dropped support.
