Yup. I just finished it myself. I was hoping there would be some sort of reward for slogging through such a poorly written book. Nothing. I'm irritated. It was pointless. I don't know if it would have been any better as a short story, honestly.... but maybe, with some adjustments. I saw somewhere that it was inspired by a nightmare? That would explain it a bit.. but still it was too long and felt pointless.

To Sleep in the Sea of Stars had it's issues.... too many things happen virtualy the same way with slight differences multiple times, but it had a narrative, it was interesting and new, and I enjoyed it overall. Unfortunately he rambles a bit (Eragon book 3) and needs to be rained in sometimes, which is unfortunate because he has some good ideas. I hope the new book in the Eragon series doesn't suck. I recently found and read the set of three short stories in that series and I really liked them, probably because they were short and to the point.

I guess there are worse things in the world right now to be complaining about.

No worries at all. I'm patient :). As a former sysadmin and current Cloud Systems Architect, I understand. I'm going to migrate one of my domains off of Gmail to a new host to trial it and I'll try using that email once I get that done. Thanks for hosting this because I don't have the time to currently. :)

I too have tried to sign up to no avail. I just never receive any emails for verification. I've used both gmail and a custom domain on Google workspace (actually thinking of migrating that to mailbox.org or protonmail)

I do this too. My Mac & Cheese usually always has broccoli and hot peppers or other veggies and whatever extra meat I have.... brisket, rotisserie chicken, salami, tuna, chilli, etc

I basically eat all sandwiches on cinnamon raisin bagels if I can. Eggs, bacon/sausage, and cheese for breakfast? Yes. Pastrami and Swiss with mustard and sprouts? Yes. Tuna salad with Swiss? Yes. I get so many weird looks. But whatever. I like it. :)

I prefer this quote because, IMHO, a god does not exist..

"Is god willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him god?"

wow, I'm cautiously optimistic about this actually. This could be really great! I'll wait until it's out to for final judgment, but I'm encouraged. :) Thanks for posting!
