If anything I'd say it argues against the phenomenon...

If there's something to it to it, it's clearly classified on the highest levels. That, to me, means that anything any government employee does or shares is pre-approved. I don't think any secretkeepers would approve of real, sensitive information getting out.

That in turn would mean any information regarding this topic pre-approved to be released would more likely be a tool to draw away attention from the actual stuff the secretkeepers don't want people to know about.

I'm also skeptical about the whole Skywalker Ranch thing. For now, I don't have any reason to assume it's anything but an attention drawer. Look at the alien ranch, don't look at this secret, yet very human, program!

Who was the last person who owned the place? A guy heavily invested in the space industry. Outside of suddenly being soo into alien stuff while he owned Skywalker Ranch I don't recall hearing about him neither before nor after he owned the place.

Who owns it now? Someone who seemingly wants to capitalize on the name and mythology of Skywalker Ranch.

If the UFO phenomena is a convenient long-time cover-up for i.e. human ultra high tech, the Skywalker Ranch would fit perfectly as an attention drawer for the public, owned by someone it's not unreasonable to think could have ties with the military.

Beyond stories, is there any evidence regarding anything at all at the Skywalker Ranch? The fact that most of the stories comes from books that somebody makes money off of makes me even more cautious about the whole thing.

moving in ways that defy even theorized properties of any material

Again I think you're misrepresenting what is confirmed or reasonable to assume isn't alien technology as representative for everything in the field, just like with dismissing any ancient accounts of what some people interpret as spacecrafts/vehicles etc. as reasonably explained.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts though, it's always interesting to hear other points of view.

revealing your ignorance getting worked up about this stuff

Disagreeing with other people is fine, but I ask you to do it in a manner that doesn't belittle people.

Let me try:

I don't understand your point of view, you're talking about DoD work and cost but the topic is seemingly non-DoD work. Could it be quite like what you put forth yourself; a couple of external people working on software, analysis, training and similar?

Now I invite you to present arguments to why OP's question is ignorance due to the "obviously too low price". Maybe I'll understand what you mean and end up supporting your argument?

As a non-native English speaker, I also ask you to clarify how asking a question shows ignorance. From how I understand how words work, ignorance would be more like never asking questions.

Can I interpret it as "Asking questions shows that you don't know the answer"?

So, totally unrelated... Does anybody know how I register GIFs as NFTs?

Oh, right. Microsoft is still at it with their "Windows" thing.

Nice, it'll be settled once and for all then. Just like last time.

I suspect they'll tell us one of these three:

  • There's no sign of intelligent life outside of earth but we've found traces that could indicate previous microbial life in space. Just like last time we told you.
  • We've found aliens since the last time we talked publicly about this but forgot to tell you.
  • We knew and lied all along.

I think I know what they'll say.

I actually agree with a lot of his sentiment.

In many ways, so do I. Why is there bi-partisan support and 14 high level public servants present on the sideline of the hearings? Publicity and riding the wave of public interest. It is a circus. A dumb country? Or the results of decades of extreme propaganda by separate political and social factions, intellectually paralyzing the general public? 🤔

I still hope we're able to express these experiences and feelings in a manner that invites debate and discussion, since I believe that's the only reasonable way of fixing these issues.

We have massive systemic issues, so this UAP stuff can feel like a slap in the face to people that are suffering.

I think I understand your sentiment. I think there's a chance a proper disclosure of this topic would force a breakdown of the political status quo and among other things allow the utilization of humankinds top technology which could lead to an unfathomable rise of every human's living standard, prosperity and growth for all people and a future for humankind.

Can you see how every step not in the direction of disclosure is saddening for people like me?

Poverty and hunger. Lack of energy, housing, and reasonably priced healthcare... I think things like these could be a thing of the past if we are able to pursue the right future.

Yet I understand there's issues here and now, and the future can't come at the cost of the present.

How can we discuss these topics without feeling hurt or attacked by each other? I try to leave my feelings at home even though it can be hard some times. If I forget myself, I hope someone will tell me. If anybody find any better ways to go about topics like these, do share.

my wife and I are being forced out of our home next year due to uncontrolled rent increases

I'm sorry to hear that. My family experienced the same in the late 80's bubble. It's difficult. I hope you find a way to better your situation.

You share you'd be more furious if you weren't a sucker for sci-fi. But I'm pretty sure they've taken our real sci-fi future and locked it up in secret programs. I don't know about you but that makes me... frustrated.

Did anything even come from this

Yes, a lot of the lose claims that have been floating around as rumor over the last 70 years have now been formally made under oath in a hearing. I see that as a potential step in the direction of disclosure of what the deep state knows about the phenomena, no matter what it might be.

Wake me up when the actual white house does an emergency broadcast on this.

Then I have to warn you that you might not enjoy this community. 🤷 I think there's going to be a lot of posting and discussions with speculations about unproven claims, media analysis of the same claims and so on.

But I still think there's a lot of interesting discussions to be had unrelated to weather any information is disclosed or not.

If you believe the phenomenon is real, is there anything people like us can do to help bringing out the truth and maybe even politically force the White House to acknowledge the phenomenon and force through public investigations?

If you believe the phenomenon is not real, is there anything people like you can do to help us all understand what is actually is?

Not to be too cynical but it seems misappropriated tax dollars are a bigger scandal to the US establishment and public than the secret services killing people in the name of national security.

I believe most people would agree that some state secrets are worth killing for, and if this secret is worth killing for will be a matter of debate.

But I think nobody would agree misappropriating tax dollars or even funding legitimate closed Special Access Programs without government oversight is ever OK.

I'm using it on a Linux laptop. The swipe gestures on a multi-point touchpad is simply the most intuitive and user friendly navigation I've experienced natively from any Linux application ever.

It's all small steps in a larger happening. Where I differ from a lot of people in the UFO community is that I don't think we know where the steps are leading yet, and think it might be a way for the Pentagon-type people to control what we think is "leaked".
