Did you know that Queen Lizzy 2 banned garlic in her households? Apparently she didn't like the smell.
Hmm.

I'd like to give them Alsace-Lorraine. The French and German ruling class has been slaughtering each other's working-class soldiers for centuries over that miserable little patch of land. Making it a three-way fight would be hilarious.
Everyone will be pointing fingers at everyone else for not doing more to help the war effort. No-one will accept any blame.
So I'm feeling down today for various reasons. I desperately need some de-stressing escapism. Fortunately I have no obligations today, so I decided to make it a "me" day. Turned off all my phone notifications, got comfy on the couch, got some snacks, ready to just relax. So I loaded up Star Trek TNG on my kodi box, and randomized the playlist. I've decided to just watch whatever episode comes up, no skipping, no interruptions.
First episode to play: "Shades of Gray".
Fuck you, universe.
A pleasant update. The older I get the more I appreciate Gates McFadden's acting. Especially her facial expressions. I know the original TNG premise involved getting away from a captain/first officer/doctor focused dynamic as a way to differentiate it from TOS. But I really wish that Crusher was much more prominent in the series.
Have you ever started to make a connection with someone you meet on a dating app? You both want to meet up for coffee real soon in real life to see if the chemistry works in the real world too? And you add each other on snapchat?
And then your snapchat "quick add" list (which is basically a list of friends-of-friends) starts showing usernames like "16MTOP" and "20 (11-15 HMU)" and "15btm"?
And you start to question every single red flag detector in your head because they are obviously all malfunctioning and didn't see this coming?
And you just want to curl up on a couch and binge watch 1980s and 1990s sci-fi TV shows for a decade or two in solitude because no one can be trusted anymore?
and Marx, once again, appears on the stage. He was never dead, he will never die. His works are here to remain, forever.
That's because we're just a bunch of woke commies.
Absolutely. Leftists over 40-ish are true survivors. I don't buy into generational war crap. That's distraction from the real war, the class war.
Gen X internalized boomer culture. They may hate that they did, but they did, and they know it.
I have a request for those talking about the various bodily fluids being spewed by their sick pets. Could you please put that stuff behind a spoiler tag with a warning?
You're not being treated with the respect you deserve at work. You should start a union in your workplace.
