It really isn't. Think about a kid embarrassing their parent over some tech thing they don't know.

To understand something (think critically) you need to know the information. So it boils down to embarrassing someone for not knowing things. There is too much in life to know absolutely everything, thus my example on tech.

The parent is supposed to teach the child that information. Not mock and embarrass them for not already knowing it.

The convention is 2" before milling. Milling takes off 1/4"on each side, so the result is 1.5".

Iirc the sign in the picture says they don't accept customers that walked there. You must drive.

At the end of my geotech class the Prof put up a joke slide that said something along the lines of "now you should know the difference between soil and dirt". We all looked at each other because no one knew. He didn't teach us that. He was also a shitty Prof.
