What is this from? Sounds old and I really hope this flat earth stuff hasn't been around that long.

How is it that states can decide (or whatever the correctt word is) who's on the ballot when the party hasn't even officially nominated a candidate? I know that political parties are separate from election institutions, but it seems very strange. And it seems very early for states to have it set in stone.

This is the UK

Daniel Shaw, Louise Lancaster, Lucia Whittaker De Abreu and Cressida Gethin were each sentenced to four years in prison this week after being found guilty of planning disruptive protests on the M25. A fifth defendant, Roger Hallam, was sentenced to five years by a judge who said he “sat at the very highest level of the conspiracy”.

I forgot Angry Birds existed for a moment and was confused. Is it still popular?

Urban dictionary says it's the opposite of "easy peasy lemon squeezy".

and says "I'd like a martinus".

The bartender asks "Do you mean martini?"

The Roman replies "No, just one please."

This is well researched, it's not just bitching. Much recommended.

Did he actually believe in communism? Or did he just see an opportunity to be dictator and took it? There was plenty of industrialization that needed to happen prewar and plenty of rebuilding after the war, so it's actually hard for me to see his true ideology.

*Like how much optimization did they do in SteamOS vs Linux in general?

Is SteamOS minimal changes just so it boots directly into the store and run everything full screen by default, or did they make deeper changes?

I've seen stuff about Nvidia ~~cards~~ not working well with Linux, is that true?

If one was in the market for a new laptop anyway, would you recommend not getting nvidia and going with AMD?

I'm currently intrigued by the Lenovo LOQ line (full size numpad). Not buying anytime soon, just scoping out good brands and ideas.

*Primary role is laptop productivity, secondary role is maybe patient gaming, so I'm ok with budget gaming. Going Linux is not guaranteed, but maybe in the future because windows keeps getting more nuts. So I'm looking for info to make sure Linux is possible.

*I want this to last a long time, 10 years should be easy.

Don't know if this is the most suitable place to ask, but it's all I can think of.

Say like tax documents. Password protect them? What's the best free software?
