nice. i bet the body weighs a good bit unless there’s some relief in there!

always a fan of zero inlay necks, they look so clean. the white on maple really works for me

yes! absolutely love the vintage fj40s… would add international scout in the same category!

bmw 2002 hands down. i would kill for a clean daily but that’s some serious money….

when i drove my beamer for the first time… it was over. the responsiveness of both the steering and accelerator, matched with all the creature comforts (even in a 30+ year old vehicle!) and classic styling… have owned an e30 that i stupidly got rid of, and now an e34, looking at purchasing a new (to me) e83 x3. truly, the bmw is the ultimate driving machine.

(psa if you are not rich or willing to turn wrenches often, they may not be the wisest choice…)

ooh very nice… i better not look into it or i will be buying more pens… haha.

my biggest issue is finding paper that is not super expensive and can hold the ink well… bristol board is my favorite but loose sheets are annoying. i’ve found platinum’s carbon black to be the absolute best ink, after trying out many goulet and noodler’s blacks…

i’ll have to check it out — back about five years ago r/fountain pens was a great community!

excellent! did you build the guitar yourself? either way, would love to know the woods!

i have thought about doing that before! how did the thickness work out?

[–] solongaphasia@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

oh, absolutely!

i spent way too much buying my grail pen a couple years back (pilot namiki falcon with 14k soft flex nib) and it is an absolute dream… though i do still love my pilot metropolitan and cheap jinhaos!

yeah, a machine shop would be a great idea especially if it’s imported as OP stated. they should be able to re-tap the threads as long as he didn’t completely destroy the caliper.

sweet! what year? i always thought the e32 had a super sleek profile, though i haven't had the chance to own one yet
