Wasn't there a story about how the didn't pay their engineers enough so they kept losing them?

I wish Canada would at least de-criminalize drugs so that becomes less of an issue.

Nothing like the simple beauty of mass produced stamped steel spoon and bowl. 🙏 Bless.

IMO the term 'conservative' is somewhat fluid when the topic is other countries. For instance, Canadian/American conservatives/republicans (respectively) wouldn't even think of implementing a tax like that because in many ways they are the bankers.

Just to note, these people are well off. If it was someone that doesn't have $12,862 (or the equity/credit score to take out a large loan) to pay for surgery in another country (with a working medical system), then they'll die of being poor, and I'm sure many people have already.

Yeah, that would suck so bad with that many people. Though, I suppose that's how they got up to the visitor centre in the first place.

I hope no one was hurt, but honestly that sounds like a good time.

Funny, I was just going to mention Vietnam; they did the lockdown as it should have been. Closed borders, no gatherings, the whole shebang. And wouldn't you know it; economic damage from the pandemic was extremely minimal because of all the people (read: workers, read: customers) that didn't needlessly die or were permanently disabled.

AFAIK yes, everything is covered. I still have to talk to the adjusters to confirm though. Seems they wanted pictures, but I don't see how that could help anyone in this case since the damage was only detectable through use.

I would guess so as well, considering most people (myself included until a few years ago) are unaware that combustion engines create so much heat that can easily happen in the right conditions.
