Maps is also seriously going down the gutter.

  1. There are ads in maps now.
  2. It works OK if you know a name, but not the location, but not the other way around. If there's any concentration of businesses, you can zoom in all you want but it will only show 1 in 2 places.
  3. Many search terms now result in residential places near the top results. I suppose these are mostly small webshops run out of homes for the same terms, but that isn't usually what one is looking for when using maps.

Our weather is nigh-identical to that in south-eastern England. I mean, after all, coast to coast theres only 100km between us. We've had a normal summer. Perhaps "cool" by today's standard, but even on average for the last 30 years it's been a normal summer.

June in fact was exceptionally sunny and dry. July indeed was a nothingburger, mostly rain rain and more rain. August was a mix, some good days some bad. What we didn't have this year was any 35+ temperatures.

Or you just happen to live in an area with many addicts.

I have a brand new apartment. On recommendation of the constructor (new walls contain lots of moisture that needs to go out), it's set a little warmer than I'd usually go: 21C (70F). In my old place I'd put it at 18C (64F).

That said, currently it's 25C inside (77F). This place is insulated like crazy, and we don't have AC (that still isn't common over here, even for new builds). For reference, current temperatures outside are 14C (57F)

I live in the Netherlands.

Netherlands. You'd get a glass or cup of hot water, and a box of tea bags to select from. If you want ice tea, you explicitly have to call that out. Just "tea" refers to the hot (original) version without sugar.

A third issue with anonymous surveys is that barely anyone fills them in. Only a certain type of personality likes these things.

To absolutely no one's surprise.

Looks like internalized costs for this rather than the externalized costs for fossil fuels. Only regulation can truly fix that.

I've found that "new customer" sometimes gets you a human quicker..

Absoluut geen fan van de SGP, maar ergens vind ik dit wel jammer. Het is wel iemand met ontzettend veel kennis hoe de kamer hoort te werken.
