Interesting to see read about the optimization work done, and why the safe version is slower.

 

Since last fall, Neven has been doing an internship to develop a new aliasing model for Rust: Tree Borrows. Hang on a second, I hear you say – doesn’t Rust already have an aliasing model? Isn’t there this “Stacked Borrows” that Ralf keeps talking about? Indeed there is, but Stacked Borrows is just one proposal for a possible aliasing model....

 

I stumbled across this open source video stabilization tool and noticed it was written in Rust.

Found this performance analysis of Intel AVX-512 sort implementation quite interesting and well written.

 

Since I know that many people are looking for paid rust work, I thought that this information about a Rust Foundation Fellowship could be of interest here.
