That makes sense, thanks.

It honestly seems like that's already happening. A lot of the mags like ELI5 and NoStupid Questions, programming, etc. have been very active since the blackout started.
I think that's part of it, but Lemmy has been around for as long as Tildes so it doesn't really add up. Tbh this was my main issue so now I don't have a good reason to go back to Reddit ever.
Thanks, you too! I'm aware not everyone on that sub is like that, it's just that the people that are infect every space that is even mildly encouraging to their school of thought, just like incels do with self-help spaces.
I have really bad self esteem and worry a lot about making women uncomfortable, so I went there and ended up being inundated with the "men can never atone for their sins and if you disagree you are an incel and part of the problem" rhetoric. But since they're supposed to be the "good side," I felt guilty for not agreeing entirely, even if it meant wanting to kill myself so that women can thrive without fear.
obviously I still agree with feminism and advocate for women's rights, but since that place is filled with the venting of millions of people all at once, you have to be careful or it will do damage to your psyche.
I just hope it will end up being more sane than the one on Reddit
Same reason men like futanari. Next question.
Calling it "sublemmy" is incredibly cursed

Those sound interesting. Favorite moment in Elona was when I kept accidentally summoning monsters in my house while learning a spell, and after clearing them out I found that I summoned a regular hamster for some reason. He just lives there now, I named him Hamsuke.
Not sure if it counts, but I've been playing Elona/Eternal League of Nefia. it's been hard though because there is very little english discussion of it, and I refuse to set foot on 4chan where most of it would probably be.
Why?
