I mean in terms of the reason to kill Linux gaming so devices like the steam deck would need to run windows for most games

What if they made an API allowing 3rd party stores, but the same security methods. Like MS would do this for the sole reason to kill device like the steam deck

My issue with that is Android is also pretty locked down and most certainly does have a monopoly, in general I think it’s just MS being stupid.

Blaming the EU is stupid MacOS is locked down, for the EU it’s more about apps less about the kernel space.

[–] skymtf@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 year ago

GraphineOS is more secure than the stock OS

Newpipe’s fork?

I don't think so cause unlike the tweaked youtube apps, new pipe just happens to just scrape the video off youtube which is publicly accessible

I hope the sideloading update does not break stuff like the altstore, which is true sideloading

I've noticed with android everything is a Google feature, android is essential a closed source operating system

As someone who relies on GPS, a doordasher I kinda think it should be only for multi media and maps. AC and other controls should be nobs. Also steering wheel controls
