Why not both? It can always be both of them.

He's also the sort convinced that welfare queens living it up with brand new cars and designer clothes are not just a real thing, but a common thing that happens

So where's his new phone and fancy car then? If it's that easy, go out and get your free money, king. Stick it to the Dems or whatever. If Winn-Dixie pays shit then go get on that wonderful welfare. After he buys his new car he should have some money left over to buy some drugs, too, right? That's how they think this works, correct?

Sorry, I guess YOU in particular aren't really the person who needs to hear my scathing sarcasm, but I'm getting really really extremely tired of this viewpoint.

Rising is very very different to any other MGS game. Fair warning. I recommend every MGS game wholeheartedly, but don't play Rising and then pick up Snake Eater or MGSV expecting it to be more of the same.

I don't think the Waagh field is quite that strong in canon lore, but holy shit that makes way more sense than it should. I never even considered this as a possibility.

If only the willfully ignorant were the only ones suffering, I wouldn't care about your opinion. You have the right to go die choking on your own phlegm, doesn't bother me. But spreading misinformation kills people. You are killing people. You are a murderer by proxy. I hope with all my heart that you reap the appropriate rewards of that.

Having a couple communities on a subject does not make your instance [subject]-oriented. That's like saying my home instance, startrek.website, is politics-oriented or Linux-oriented because those communities exist. It's not, it's mostly about Trek.

She seems very fiscally responsible and leveraged her skills into being overpaid for what she's good at. Sounds like she did good. I'm proud of her.

He doesn't know how, that's not a skill he ever practiced

And if you looked around outside your bubble at all you'd see that Covid has killed more people than the Holocaust. By a significant margin. Including several of my family members. Fuck off with your denialism, millions have died because of attitudes like yours.

Yeah... Have you actually looked at our gear list with a critical eye recently? Brother we're getting arrested for everything there is.

Granma Mabel who is 94 but still insists on buying her own groceries needs it to be that damn loud and it's easier for the supermarkets to just make that the default option. I only defend it because it makes practical sense, I don't like it that loud either.

But, agreed, for the love of fuck, give me the mute button. Please.

Bonus pro tip: all the annoying gas station screens that blare ads and tiktoks at you can also usually be muted. All the ones in my area have 8 unmarked soft buttons around the screen and the second one from the top on the right side is the mute button. It seems consistent across all brands of gas station with ad screens.
