At least 26 separate women have accused Trump of SA over the course of the last 50 years, many of them before he entered politics. One of them even got a civil court to find as fact that he committed rape.
Just how many witnesses do you need here? Would another 26 be enough? How about a thousand?

One of the great mysteries of the 21st century is how a tiny number of US companies control most of the world's payment processing, when it's not a technically difficult problem.
You could implement an entire end-to-end payment processing system in a year with a team of a few dozen competent engineers. The only difficulty is getting banks and retailers to sign up to it, but when the big players charge so much and create so much trouble this doesn't seem like it should be a tough sell. In most cases literally all you'd need to do is charge 2.4% instead of their 3%.
That's quite the example.
And the thing that's so crazy is that "post-war period" describes a time when the country had just spent 6 years getting the shit bombed out of it and expending all its resources into sending troops abroad. If people can rebuild a country and still be able to support a whole family on a single salary, why can't we do the same in a country that's already had that work put in?
(that's a rhetorical question, we all know why)
I can't speak for the US, but in the UK from the 50s all the way to the 90s there was enough social safety net, affordable housing and government sponsored arts grants for someone from a modest background to be able to hone their craft in acting, music, art, writing, comedy etc.
Nowadays all that's gone (shockingly a lot of it under Labour), and it's only trust fund kids that can afford to spend five years not working a full-time salaried job.
