VPNs are one of the core security measures of all large companies.
VPNs aren't just a "hide your IP" tool, they're a way of giving someone access to an organisation's internal network. Sensitive servers such as databases, wikis, scheduling tools etc don't have publicly exposed IPs, they only have connections that are accessible from inside that VPN. What this also has in common with Iraq is that we already knew. People who changed their minds later on act like they were responding to new information and are therefore reasonable people who were just previously misinformed. But the evidence was always there the whole time, and those who were against it were doing their best to shout it out whilst getting shut down with accusations of being terrorist sympathizers.
I find the cooking one weird, because the food you cook for yourself is usually the best. I know exactly how cheesy I like my pasta sauce, and how big I like the chunks of chicken sliced in my curry, and what ratio of spices I like in my fajitas. I'm not even that good a cook. I can't imagine having enough money to want to stop doing that.

The insane thing about Bitcoin's continued popularity is that out of all the thousands of cryptocurrencies out there, it's easily the worst in every regard.
I'm not going to name names for fear of being called a shill, but if you want a cryptocurrency for just buying stuff there's a ton that are more stable, faster, don't cost a fortune to process, and don't destroy the planet.
It's interesting how different the reporting is between outlets in SEA vs in the West. Almost every article I see in the Western press features Trump prominently, whereas in most the regional press he's mentioned either in passing or not at all.

There's also an astonishing amount of dishonesty about the way they operate more generally. They've convinced themselves that they don't need to be ethical, because doing stuff nominally for Jesus is automatically the right thing regardless of the details.
Speculating wildly, I think it was a lot more common back then for teenagers to just disappear off for hours on end without their parents knowing where they were.
