TL;DR it's a generic corporate statement about how much theyre committed to the game and how it'll be great, etc.

Nothing of value.

If we're going by piracy logic then you can buy a $200 used Switch and hack it to download games for free. I genuinely don't think a phone or tablet would ever be a good experience. nobody is going to play with touch controls, it doesn't let you play games on the TV, the emulator has compatibility issues and bugs, not to mention how most phones throttle hard when they get warm. I'm not buying this discussion at all.

Context: There was a huge backlash over Dave the Diver being nominated for best indie game because despite being a smaller pixelart game, the developer is owned by Nexon.

Android has Genshin Impact, GRID Autosport, Pascal’s Wager, Sky: Children of the Light, The Banner Saga Trilogy.

...So basically mediocre Android games and rare ports of older games. Nobody is buying a handheld console to play these.

Android has a couple high-profile indie games like Stardew Valley and some rare ports of older games, that's it. I wouldn't call it very good. and unless you're willing to shell out $150+ for a great telescopic controller there's no way playing on the tablet would be comfortable.

There are Android tablets that are much cheaper than the Switch, more powerful, more battery efficient. Also, play games better.

You're not really suggesting that playing mediocre android games on a touchscreen tablet is the same market as a handheld gaming device with controllers

Sadly not an option for console. I don't own a PS5 currently but when I did own consoles I would trade games and buy used all the time, it's a shame this might not be possible next generation.

Darn, I posted this earlier but sadly lemm.ee is having server issues. This'll be the main thread, then.

Official Blog Post | PS5 Pro Reveal Trailer

The PS5 Pro console will be available this holiday at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $699.99 USD, £699.99 GBP, €799.99 EUR, and ¥119,980 JPY (includes tax). It will include a 2TB SSD, a DualSense wireless controller and a copy of Astro’s Playroom pre-installed in every PS5 Pro purchase. PS5 Pro is available as a disc-less console, with the option to purchase the currently available Disc Drive for PS5 separately.

The big question mark for me is that not only does it cost 800 euros, it does NOT come with a disc drive. There is no version of it with a disc drive like the PS5, you have to buy it as an accessory. I guess physical games really are going away.

Just checking if it's not just me, McGinnis being able to spawn a massive wall that you can't destroy is very annoying to play against. She can single out a person pushing and dominate a team fight with the right usage of this ability.

In almost every other game I've played a wall like this can at least be destroyed by dealing enough damage, but nope. You have to wait the 5 seconds or so for it to go down.

For the record the devs said this game took eight years to make, and might've been pitched even earlier than that. I can't imagine working on a project for a decade and releasing to... This.

And that wraps up the Xbox Games Showcase. Pretty good overall, I think.

Maybe they’ll get there eventually.

Unless they rework half the game's mechanics from the ground up, I doubt it.

This isn't the first 3D game they made though. They made Solar Ash before this, and it's honestly quite underrated.

Okay but why is the tweet flashbanging me?
