In my case, I use Fedora exclusively (no dual boot).

I tried PopOS, but I had problems with each update.

If I type :hand then [Win+;] I expect the hand emoji section to be shown, or at least the search box to be auto-filled.
I don't want to touch the mouse to select an emoji, I just type, select (with keyboard) and go on with my writing.
Changing focus to type a search term in a small pupup is non productive.

I rechecked just now, the search field is gone in Win11, even more useless now... M$ is not even trying, too focused on adding spyware lol

I don't think reddit has merit on blocking RSS, because you can't act on the posts, no comment, no upvote etc... You'll have to visit the site directly to do so. But I might be wrong, I just don't think it's their priority.

Yep, it's a quite old feature, but don't get too excited, it's a pain in the neck to use. It's like they put it there without even using it. Very unfriendly experience.

My favorite plugins:

  • telescope (file searching, diagnostic listing...)
  • vim-surround
  • vim-signify

I use a couple others, but those are really important to my workflow.

I'll give you my point of view on it.

  • People who pirate games are generally young and have no money. (like me a long time ago)
  • People who have work and money, will buy games to support the devs. (like me right now)
  • People who still pirate games (or any content) are trash, maybe you can just ignore them?

Pirating is not a bad thing, since people will discover your "brand" and when they can, they might buy your games. (I remember playing Starcraft 1, D2 and AOE, all quakes pirated when I was young, now I have all of them in my steam library)

OSS your game but the assets could be a great way, it feels similar to openTTD in a way.

But supporting Linux is great thing, (Fedora user here) and I try to buy games to support devs that support Linux natively. I have about 900+ games on Steam (Mainly Win titles), and I have finished only 30 or 40 of them. Now that Linux is getting more popular and because Steam makes playing windows games so seamless, it's not worth the assle of pirating IMO.

But that just me. I am sure there are many others with similar opinions out there ;)
