Oh, interesting! Thanks for that pointer.

I haven't tried an L2 public charger at all, so I'd never run into that limit. Most L2 chargers locally advertise 6-7kW, but it's good to know I probably won't see an advantage to those over the 3kW chargers common in smaller towns.

Right, that makes sense. I don't know what the AC charger's capacity is, it might be worth visiting the Caddy dealership just to try it out.

I think it's a flaw specific to the 2020 Outlander PHEV or so; the way the manual and other documentation repeat it makes it seem unusual, as well as important. Maybe just because the battery is so small, at 12kWh?

So, does this mean we'll stop funding and arming the genocide, or just that now we're funding and arming a genocide upon a state we recognize?

Yes, please.

So, my PHEV limits DCFC charging to 19kW, and recommends using AC charging most of the time as mostly-DC charging will wear the battery faster.

A dealership down the road from my Mitsubishi dealer advertises a public 19kW Level 2 AC charger; would using that cause the same wear and tear as a 19kW DCFC? It seems like that is probably the case, but OTOH the actual AC charging circuitry is integral to my truck/battery so it might be able to mitigate that somehow?

Or is the info in gmaps definitely wrong and a 19kW L2 charger is just silly?

Edit: it's a 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, with a 12.1kWh battery.

I've been a Canadian voter for near 30 years. I'm pretty sure that's just what a Con leadership review looks like.

That's exactly it. The Liberals' entire platform, at the provincial and federal level, is "we're not the Cons". Federally that worked because Carney is a less distasteful ghoul than Poillevre, but in Ontario it pitted Crombie and the Liberals and their recent history against Ford -- who has shown to be basically competent in a crisis and not constantly cartoonishly evil. It's sad that "not a scooby-doo villain" is the bar, but that's the reality.

Liberal Party leader and Conservative Party spokesman Mark Carney, folks.

citing safety hazards and functional deficiencies

"Functional deficiencies"? As in, under Chinese law, they can ban products just because they suck?

Damn, we need some of that here in Canada.

Providence is running a new study on treatments for major depression.

This family of studies (Can-Bind, https://canbind.ca/) is pretty cool; the goal is to identify biomarkers to predict treatment response. In short, they're hoping to find a blood test that will predict what treatment will work best for you. No more 40-year epic journeys of trying one thing after another.
