You're 100% right about how many distractions there are around me, I currently live in the biggest city in my country and it is simultaneously overwhelming and boring depending on where I am. Scrolling my phone is the only way I feel like I have some control over my attention.

Europe actually didn't have FF Anthologies ๐ฅฒ I played both VI and VII while visiting my family in Europe, and my cousin had them as standalone games (and I am forever grateful he was kind enough to trust a snot nosed brat like me with his precious PlayStation)
Shows how timeless the games you listed are, I played most of them in the mid-late 2000s as a kid and never thought of them as "old" like I do with the SNES, lol.

Wow, best wishes to your family member! Stomach stapling surgery is pretty extreme, and usually a last resort treatment. But I absolutely agree with you about being scared into cooking and exercising for myself once I've seen what others are having to go through for weight loss.

Extra anecdotal information: my father is on it, and he says everything tastes like shit now. He forces himself to eat, but doesn't enjoy it like he used to. It's pretty sad.
