This is a great idea. So it won't happen.

Truthers have to do this. It's strange. At least wait until after Fields has an elite game against a good defense. But pointing out fault in other proven QBs isn't the way.

If the Oline has improved since Fields last played, then in theory, Fields should be able to make more throws and take less sacks. These next few games will leave little doubt about him moving forward, and Fields truthers will either be very loud or cease to exist. The latter is still unlikely, but they will be shut down quickly if they make excuses again.

Check out the Bears sub for the worst QB takes. When you have vested interest or blind fandom, you say dumb things.

Yes, not a starter. By year three as a starter, he was a pro bowler.

Eeek. Your last line sealed it for me. No, not even close. Every QB would not suck ass on this team. That's insane.

Even a lot of Bears fans back this. Oh, the Bears would have ruined Mahomes. That nonsense is such a slap in the face of great QBs. The fact is, the Bears have just been really bad at drafting QBs and haven't been aggressive in drafts with regard to the position. Before Trubisky and Fields, the most recent first round QB the Bears drafted was Rex Grossman in 2003.
