Indeed. I've been on Arch for a few years, and it's great 99% of the time.

But I really hate how sometimes you sit down to work and something broke and you have to tinker to figure out why instead of focusing on what you want to focus.

The Zuck is making his own fediverse instance, seems to mostly be a twitter competitor atm.

Admins with good sense are defederating that instance, because we know that they have nothing but bad intentions.

KDE if it was less buggy.

It's what I have installed on my parents computer. Somewhat painful to do any sort of development in it though.

Pretty much. I'd absolutely love to run an idiot proof distro. If one existed.

Arch.

I don't love it, like at all. But it's the least buggy and easiest to use one I've tried.

I really wish there was a simple plug and play, everything just works and doesnt break on updates distro.

Default google message isn't cross platform though.

I'm just happy that there's more content now.

More users definitely brings new challenges, but honestly. I'm beyond surprised and happy at how Lemmy is surviving the huge influx this month.

I'd have guessed that servers would have crumbled under 10x the load, super happy that they didn't.

I was wondering about that. But I can't find an easy way to do it.

If I hypothetically wanted to move from from lemmy.ml to another instance, how would I do it short of starting over without my subscriptions/comments/posts?

[–] shapis@lemmy.ml 4 points 2 years ago

How so? I've always been interested in trying that one.

Been here for a few years now. It's the same as always. Use a site til it turns evil/bad, then move on, someone else will take its place.

I love the idea of lemmy tho. and so far so good. But dont be married or make it personal if something turns bad online.
