Yeah sometimes I can't even get myself to start the timer or write the task list.
It hasn't always worked for me, I can't find any solution that consistently works, some days are just complete write offs, however, the Pomodoro Technique has had some success for me.
The tldr is you create a task list of jobs you need to do. Set a timer for 20 minutes and work on the first task in that time, once 20 minutes is up set a timer for 5 minutes, your reward, browse Lemmy, masturbate do whatever you want you've got 5 minutes. Another 20 minute timer for work then another five. After a set of 3 20 minutes take yourself a 15 minute break. Rinse and repeat.
But even knowing and experiencing that doesn't make it any easier to start the next time :(
