I would recommend getting a seed box with Monero (seedboxes.cc) and accessing that via wireguard VPN...which seedboxes.cc offers. Easy.

Honestly, if I look at the state of things in the GPU segment particularly, I feel that the thing people will care about the most will be price / performance.
Nvidia is trying to sell people on hardware that had barely improved on previous generations by introducing things like dlss3 (frame generation at the cost of latency) but honestly, if a used 3080 can keep up with a brand new 4070 for less money, why on earth would I get the latest generation?
Seems wild. I am hoping for Intel and AMD to present some serious competition. I wonder whether Nvidia no longer cares about gamers and instead thinks AI / Datacenter applications are where the real profit is to be gained.
About a GTX 1060, though that CPU will hold it back at times. I suppose it makes sense to have GPU headroom, rather than CPU headroom, however.
Als Magnet fuer Verrueckte / Besoffene / Gewalttaetige, muss ich leider sagen: Bis es irgendeine Loesung fuer die ganzen Asis im Zug / Bus gibt, setze ich mich halt ins Auto, da werde ich von denen wenigstens nicht grundlos angegriffen (an all die Rechten: nein, es sind fast nie Auslaender...)
It's sort of a shame to think that it's so difficult to have truly free hardware. But at the very least there are many projects working on making it as free as possible. If older hardware is an option, you can get pretty close. ThinkPads with Coreboot come to mind.
Yup and proton. It's bonkers to think that I went from dual-booting windows ONLY for games, to being able to play almost anything on Manjaro.
Is controlling such a small device / screen complicated? Do you use an external mouse / keyboard? I'm quite interested in getting one.

Well, it is an Apple device after all. I understand that there's some manufacturing wins with having ultra-tight unibody designs and stuff like that. But isn't the ability to swap out a battery / SSD or upgrade some RAM, or even replace a screen, more important?
Ja, rational gesehen verstehe ich, dass ich im Auto viel wahrscheinlicher verunglücken würde als im Zug. Dummerweise sieht das aber in meinem Gehirn so aus: im Auto hat mich noch nie jemand angemacht. Im Zug / Bus ist es schon so oft passiert, dass ich mich einfach nicht entspannen kann. Also meide ich es ganz :/
