Yes, unfortunately the hidden folder is neutered so you can’t search in it or anything or choose photos from it in an upload dialog or anything.

I honestly wish you could choose to search the hidden album. Either search from in it, or check a box in search, unlock biometric, and boom — included.

I’d love to use the hidden album more but it’s a bit neutered once you start really filling it up.

Did you at least get a fist bump?

You definitely get the most out of it if you’re already in the ecosystem, but it’s still far better than any smarttv OS even if it’s the only Apple device you own. It’s also probably the best value Apple device there is.
