That no matter how righteous you believe you are, there are ramifications to your actions with religion. It's very easy to understand and be comfortable with those beliefs, but with others you are quite literally messing with their identities who they are.

My family is deeply religious. I personally don't care if they believe in God or not. I focus on individual teachings, that gay people aren't evil, that they can be religious and believe contradictory things to what others believe, that it's all deeply personal

Ootl, what is non normal lighting kira?

That makes me sad, because it's probably true. Someone he lived probably got cancer and he somehow in his brain connected it to the dog. Grief is a hell of a thing

NIMBY Rails has been insanely fun. Their tagline is politicians are wrong, you know what's best for your community or something like that. Very fun to make the transit systems we should have, and very satisfying to see ridership on those systems

Setting aside cancer dog, 95% of the time when I see this lettering on a vehicle I know it's probably mental illness.

The other 5% is probably the best plumber in town

God knows if they needed a medical procedure and the most qualified doctor was in France or China or anywhere, they would demand that they should be treated.

I'd like to see creators who own their rights put in contracts that the story must be told in full, and that whatever pacing is decided on (1 season per book for example) needs to be maintained. I know most studios would walk away, but I'd love for someone to have the balls to tell them that

You want to make my 10 book series into a TV show? Put your money where your mouth is and pony up 10 seasons worth

Marketing really has just ran away with everything. I wonder what they'll rename the console as

I landed on digital ocean. Fair prices for a vpc and a reliable name

Yikes. Good luck to you, noble goals, but there are real consequences for even unknowingly hosting that content.

Good intentions, but I would be wary of anything not official like foldingathome or boinc (both great projects I recommend)

The reason is other people are horrible, and while your intentions are good, it's significant risk. Lemmy had a csam attack a while ago and I immediately moved my instance to the cloud because I learned that if I even accidentally hosted anything it means immediate seizure, self hosting it means they plow through my door and yank the servers.

Tor nodes, peertube, you open yourself up to that risk

Definitely. Just the only way I can think of to actually prevent it
