While we all hate reddit, them changing the app icon to make a reference to what used to be a fun event shouldn't be our main point.

It doesn't require you to use Facebook though. They might use FB analytics or tracking, but probably dont, or only for very few users.

Exodus Privacy detects trackers in apps, here is their report for Ally: https://reports.exodus-privacy.eu.org/en/reports/com.ally.MobileBanking/latest/

Many other apps contain way more and worse trackers, just some Amazon and Google Firebase is on the light side.

According to Exodus Privacy (they analize mobile apps for trackers), Ally only contains Amazon and Google trackers (Google Firebase Analytics is used by almost all apps): https://reports.exodus-privacy.eu.org/en/reports/com.ally.MobileBanking/latest/

Others also say their Ally app doesn't connect to Facebook. Maybe you have a Unicorn or a modified app (rather unlikely though)?

The issue isn't "lame", afaik there's nothing wrong with the word. The issue is that OP used it so often that he said it everywhere.

Your motocycle accident? Lame.

Other (made up) examples:

Your grandma died? Lame.

You got a promotion? Lame

I'm German myself, and luckily I haven't heard "polen" so far (Edit: Might be because I live next to France not Poland). But a lot of my classmates make a lot of kinda racist jokes about the AfD (right, potentially extremist political party) and I can't tell whether they're actually racist or not.

Some children Songs I could never sing vor hear again, they make me cringe a lot (racism, sexism, ...)

Automatically agrees to everything. Can be dangerous, use with caution. If you're able to, I wouldn't use it.

I dislike the US power plug way more than the Europlug (or compatible sockets like Schuko). It just slides in, only thing holding it in is friction. Also, there is a connection while the contacts are exposed, exposing the user to the risk of shock.

Also, I like DisplayPort more than HDMI, it clicks really nice on insertion and in my opinion pulling it out is also more satisfying.

Wow, Red Hat really managed to mess up everything in the Enterprise Linux world, to a point where I want to get as far away as possible from anything EL-related.

OpenSUSE, Debian and Arch seem like viable alternatives, I might switch to Debian Unstable, but I'm currently stuck on Novara because it's the only distro that reliably delivers GNOME with Variable Refresh Rate support.

I've been using Wayland almost exclusively for around 2 years now and have had a way more stable and enjoyable experience than with X. Especially mixed refresh rate, VRR and scaling work way better, and the added security gives me peace of mind that sketchy / insecure apps aren't spying on me.
