From age and ID restrictions on the Internet, to charging rappers with “terrorism,” the U.K. is demolishing the most basic civil liberties. If we let them, U.S. leaders may be close behind.

The J-10s shot down at least one Rafale, Reuters reported in May, citing U.S. officials. Its downing surprised many in the military community and raised questions about the effectiveness of Western military hardware against untested Chinese alternatives.

Indonesia, which has outstanding Rafale orders, has said it is now considering purchasing J-10s – a major boost to China’s efforts to sell the aircraft overseas.

Delhi hasn't acknowledged a Rafale being shot down, but France's air chief told reporters in June that he had seen evidence of the loss of that fighter and two other aircraft flown by India, including a Russian-made Sukhoi. A top Dassault executive also told French lawmakers that month that India had lost a Rafale in operations, though he didn't have specific details.

The New York Times on Saturday quoted two unnamed senior Indian officials as saying there had been no change in Indian government policy, with one official saying the government had "not given any direction to oil companies" to cut back imports from Russia.

Jaiswal added that India has a "steady and time-tested partnership" with Russia, and that New Delhi's relations with various countries stand on their own merit and should not be seen from the prism of a third country.

Police in the south-western German state of Baden-Württemberg are to be allowed to use the analysis software from US firm Palantir, which is controversial among data protection advocates

The software was specifically developed for security agencies and is used by intelligence services, the military and police.

Palantir was founded in 2003 in the United States, notably by tech billionaire Peter Thiel. He is known for his libertarian and conservative positions, his closeness to US President Donald Trump and his criticism of liberal democracies.

66.9 kWh battery

charging speeds of up to 50 kW

$82,500

Way too expensive for what it offers.

Seems to be the case with current phones where the flagship gets the smaller battery.

There isn't anything on removing bus drivers at the moment.

Bus drivers need to be recruited and trained, which can take six months to a year, Mr Siow said. There is also a need to buy buses and build depots and interchanges.

“All of us want... more bus services, more frequent buses. But behind every bus, there are two, two and a half, maybe more bus drivers, and it’s just very difficult to get,” he added.

The authorities had also considered minibus services, but the maths did not work out when a driver was added to the equation, Mr Siow said.

It seems the autonomous bus will be mini buses and routes will change depending on the requirements

deploying smaller-capacity driverless vehicles “fairly extensively” on fixed routes within HDB estates.

These routes can be changed as needed, with self-driving minibuses and shuttles taking people to transport nodes during peak hours, and then places such as polyclinics or community centres during off-peak times.
