what was the problem with donations in the first place? also couldn't use something like epoch payments ? Regarding downvotes, I want to mention the incident, where I posted SFW in my community and got downvoted, and then some users went over !womenwithwatches@feddit.de and downvoted couple posts!

Downvote should be used to bury things that dont fit in a community, until the report takes place! If you use it to downvote every post you dont like, its pointless!

What happened, and why am I not here at this moment.
What happened:
An online friend once told me that only if there are many instances, Lemmy will work properly. Which means having a centralized instance (like this one) will be hard to maintain (costs and moderation). It would be better for us to have our own instances and communities IMO(Planning to make one in a year from now). You will realize also that the costs of maintaining this is instance gets harder(per last reports from the admin).
Why am I not here:
I have some IRL stuff to do for at least a year or less, and I won't have full access to my computer. This means, I wont be posting any time soon, but I will comment and upvote.
PS: Thanks the admin and mods for the work they have done, keeping this instance in place! And all the users with their content!
