There are two problems

1. dodgy over leveraged builders
2. really fucking expensive construction materials

It's getting hard to tell which builders are suffering from which problems

I went to buy a 14x14" plastic access panel for my ceiling the other day and it's literally $50

I thought they were tree/forest/fungi fossils from a wetlands/coastal area. Like how mangroves grow

Also consider a car probably sucks a lot more current from the cells than a house (while accelerating). Batteries are much happier about low current draw so it's probably much milder wear than driving the car for the same amount of energy

And tobacco

Just consider how incredibly toxic gluten is for a lot of people, this wheat and barley plastic is going to literally poison a sizable portion of the population

This is the dumbest shit out, we already have fuck loads of biodegradable plastic. Now we have highly allergenic gluten plastic that a sizeable portion of the population is highly allergic to

Don't forget they rust if they get wet
