To have your boy come home in a box.

People think soldiers fear for their lives, and therefore only go to war for defending the things they care about. But that's not always the case.

Not all of them have families to get back to. A lot of them are just thugs. They just want to get to kill.

Adding additives is not something so unprecedented; it's done in Canada too with milk.

Nationalists and Communists putting aside their differences?

It's a sign that there's much bigger trouble ahead.

President Donald Trump threatened to destroy all of Iran's power plants, oil wells, and desalinization plants

Most likely Iran has a secondary strike capability. Israel and GCC also have desal plants, you know.

To put it simply, the US did lose more troops and equipment in 1991 and 2003 than currently, but also achieved their objectives, so to speak.

Then again, the 1991 war was a real war with with close to 1 million troops taking part. Currently, what we have is basically two countries lobbing missiles at each other.

Ironically, in 1991, it was the US that was using drones against Iraq. Tables have kinda turned.

The second one? Nope, the country pretty much was in shambles already.

Coalition losses during 1991 Desert Storm were around 300. For the 2003 invasion and occupation, the losses were of about 5000. Though I think they lost more aircraft during the former.

Religious doctrine has always been interpreted for convenience.

7000 US soldiers died on Iwo Jima, and nearly 20,000 were wounded.

Which is kinda interesting since they have around 10k troops deployable troops. One wouldn't want to be in the situation where the US "wants to save lives lost resulting from a ground invasion"...
