I think the most important rules is the "no politics" one. Personally, I have GAD and need to avoid news for my mental health. Casual UK has helped me feel that I'm interacting with community/society without having that interaction polluted by politics.

I was listening to "Sonic the Comic the Podcast" recently and they were reminiscing about Woolies and I was trying to remember what they sold. But all I could think of was ZX Spectrum tapes and pick & mix. I guess... drills...?
I just went straight to Feddit.UK after reading that it was best to choose small, but not too small instances. And yeah, it's been great. The only issue I've found is that joining communities from other instances can be slow - I assume that if you're the first subscribers on your instance it has to do some fetching of data. Yesterday it took me 10-15 minutes to join one community.
Also I took out the 7 day trial for Paramount+ to binge Season 3 of Star Trek Discovery while working from home (my current contract is about 0.5 time). I have all the regrets.
Oh man. The pocket doesn't have SNES save states? Mine is on order but not due for ages. I've been playing on an Rg35xx in the meantime and don't know if I can go back to no save states!
I don't use milk in coffee, but for I've been dairy free for a few years and have settled on oat milk too.
I'm on the east coast of Scotland, and it must have rained last night, because it's muggy af outside. I think all the moisture is just evaporating. Walking outside is like going into our bathroom after my eldest has had one of his marathon showers.
Thanks! Yeah, that's it straight out the machine. I weaned myself off milk in coffee during a health kick a few years ago, and can only drink coffee black now! The beans are about 2.5 weeks since roasting, and still have a nice crema.
Thank you. Tasted great too!
Fark eh. I used to have a double digit account number of there. Those were the days.
FF6. Not playing the pixel remaster, but the "Ted Woosley Uncensored" patch with bug fixes. I've tried many times to play this, and I'm now the furthest I've ever been through it! Have also started Ratched and Clank Rift Apart on PS+, and I really should be playing that before it inevitably gets removed, but I'm sticking with FF6.
I remember when I was a kid we moved from Newcastle to Scotland and I swear it took my Mum years to get used to saying rolls instead of buns. I wonder how many iced buns she had to go through before getting it right.
