I'm not a lawyer nor am I by any means anything remotely close to a legal expert but I'm pretty sure in order for things to be illegal you actually have to enforce them. Seems like the US has forgotten how to do this...oh who am I kidding they've never enforced punishment on any illegal acts for the wealthy or those in power.

We know this. we have known this. If you're rich and/or powerful enough the laws just don't apply to you. No one is going to enforce laws on the DHS for fear or repercussions. that's it. And no one is willing to even try it. Just look at that whole Bondi fiasco from this past week.

"What they did was illegal, what she said should be contempt!"

"ok, so lock them up then"

"wha? me? I don't want to die..."

dumb reasons really. I like having an animated avatar but don't want to pay for it. It's stupid I know.

yeah I remember a year ago when they said the same. They keep moving the goal posts because they HOPE it'll happen, but it's not going to. LLM's across the board, regardless of the company, have progressively become worse. They've sunk billions into something that simply isn't improving and they either don't know how to improve it or are just praying to whatever gods they believe in that it will some how magically get good.

There's nothing left to feed these things. For example you can go to Claude right now and ask it something so painfully simple that there's a strong chance it'll hallucinate a solution. not even a strong chance, a guaranteed chance. Like I just asked it "With the Fish Shell how can I get cat < notes.txt to work?" it didn't know how. it presented 3 options all of which were wrong. It claimed I was using an older version of Fish that doesn't support Heredocs. that's not true. Fish doesn't support Heredocs at all, period, and never has.

wait for the free trial, sign up with it using like a gift card that has a few cents on it or an empty paypal account. trial lasts like 2 weeks but you'll get more than a month as they email you daily "we can't charge your account, you'll lose nitro in 3 weeks"

Repeat this every time they offer you a trial, which they will, without verifying that you've already had a free trial. I've had Nitro for months doing this and have never paid them a dime.

it's just a wrapper for nix shell. so say you want to use firefox or neovim you'd just do ", firefox" and ", neovim" https://github.com/nix-community/comma

I loved the original Black & White way back in the day but I never really clicked with his other games, even Fable.

I just remember the mini documentary that Tech TV had on him that they would repeat over and over. and even way back then he was getting called out on his over promising for his games. like the original Fable was a fraction of what he promised it would be.

before I made the switch to Linux I never used a terminal. never. hell on Windows I even used a GUI for Git. I used sublime text as my IDE. if it wasn't a GUI I was lost.

Then I switched to Linux and it forced me to actually sit down and learn the terminal and now...now I have a hard time using GUI's. If something has a CLI or TUI option then I go for that over a GUI. like everything even my music player and video player. my IDE of choice now is DOOM Emacs. my file manager is Yazi. for Git I either use lazygit or just straight up the command line. but for everything else it's just so much faster and in the long run easier to just use the terminal.

All that being said if you like GUI's then hey more power to you and that's fine. that's the beauty of Linux. you run your system how you want to and don't let others tell you otherwise. Hell I know a guy that uses NixOS and doesn't have anything installed other than git and comma. he runs everything via comma. literally everything.

wait you have to verify your grades...from high school!?

shit I'd turn it around on them and say "I could verify my grades from high school for you but first I'd like you to verify how you believe every update you release won't some how break a majority of users Ubuntu installs"

shit at this point Bondi could walk into a committee hearing, hold up a puppy, douse it in gasoline, light it on fire, and the Democrats would just ask her to stop then say "I think she did something illegal just now, I think so."

Where were those charges that Ro Khanna was "drafting" up in December against her? Where's the impeachment? why wasn't she held in contempt yesterday?

She lashed out at them yesterday simply because she knew she could and there would be zero repercussions. and then AFTER the whole dog and pony show several democrat politicians were damn ready to make sure they got their soundbites in about it.

it's embarrassing. Bondi should be behind bars right now and I'm damn tired of Democrats telling me, daily, that these people are breaking the law and they're doing jack shit all against them.

so basically King is losing this weekend and we're not going to see him for a very long time OR he's going to be regulated to RoH. great. thanks WBD.

Honestly the best thing that could happen to AEW at this point is getting off of TNT/TBS. I mean we had the whole Jay Brisco, The Rascalz, and Now this.
