There is an add on that allows you to bypass paywalls that has worked for me in the past on the wsj. I’m sure someone here has the GitHub link, but if not I’ll edit this post when I get back to my computer.

Just talked to an old high school friend who became a frat bro in college and the whole thing was very weird. He kept commenting on my looks - "oh bro you look really good." Like I get saying that once, but he kept saying it and brought it up multiple times during the conversation. I would just say "hey bro thanks you look good too" and he'd go "oh nah bro look at my eyes, I've got huge bags under my eyes," or "ugh bro I look disgusting I've gained so much weight" and I'd just go "nah bro you look good to me." And then we'd talk about something else until he'd just interject like "bro you look really good" and the whole thing would repeat itself. There were other weird things but it felt very odd he kept commenting on my looks throughout. I guess I'm glad I look good though.
