this one I don't think is that bad. Irish is just known for throwing in a ton of unnecessary letters (probably due to being latinized by the British), and just generally being sort of weird. So you'll have beochaoineadh as bay-oh-keen-yu, délámhach as tee-lay-wah, drochdheoir as drock-wee, and of course "tiocfaidh" as "chucky."

if I try to think of "Family Guy fans" the only thing I can think of are "middle schoolers in the 2000s," but then I remember that not even they watched Family Guy, they mostly just watched South Park

A voicemail is the message you leave after you make a phone call and the other person doesn’t pick up, a voice message is just taking a recording of yourself and sending it to the other person

the One True Straight

There are instances in which they are useful, some of which people have brought up in this thread, but in most cases they’re inferior in nearly every way to a text or even a phone call.

Voice messages aren’t really a fad are they? They’ve been around forever

Haha maybe, this was in response to a zoomer sending me a voice message which is why I called them out. I don’t actually know if voice messages are a zoomer thing though.

This is exactly how I feel about it. Like at least give me a call first before I have to listen to you rambling on for 3 minutes about something that really could've been a short text.
