You're clearly missing his point. He's saying that keeping doctor salaries higher than other fields draws talent to the field of medicine from other fields.
Your point about not choosing your doctors is largely correct, but once again, the target of that criticism should be insurance companies, not the doctors themselves.
Do everyone a favor and never go to the doctor or the hospital when you get sick.
They may not have invited them but they're not trying very hard to escort them out, either.

I'm working on putting together an unRAID NAS for media acquisition and storage right now. My initial plan was to use trueNAS scale, but from my research it's a lot less tolerant about adding drives to your array whenever you want, and I didn't want to drop a zillion dollars in HD space straight off the bat.
So far docker containers work well on it, and are relatively easy to configure. I'm planning to still leave my home assistant and associated docker containers on the orangepi where they live now though.

I have a pihole and it's great. Unfortunately it doesn't do much against YouTube ads, as the ads are served from the same server that the videos are sent from. I still recommend it- it's great for random banner ads and embedded trackers.
Ublock origin definitely still works tho... For now.
